How We Build Houses

A Home Built the Way We Would Build Our Own

One crew, one standard, and an owner who is on the site rather than behind a desk.

Building a house is the biggest thing most families ever pay for, and it deserves a builder who treats it that way. We keep our schedule tight enough that your job gets real attention instead of being one of thirty going at once. David is on site with the crew, so when you have a question you get an answer from the person actually swinging the hammer.

We build on your land, from your plans, in the order a house should go up — footings, framing, dry-in, mechanicals, then the finish work that makes it feel like yours. Along the way we tell you what stage we are at and what is coming next, because not knowing is the worst part of a build.

Why People Call Us

What Goes Wrong on a Build, and How We Avoid It

Most bad building stories come down to the same handful of failures. Here is how we head them off.

  1. Nobody Answers the Phone

You reach David directly. Our reviews mention the calls and updates more than the carpentry.

  2. The Crew Disappears for Weeks

We do not start your house until we can work it steadily through to the end.

  3. The Date Keeps Sliding

We give a real start date and honor it, which our customers have written about repeatedly.

  4. Changes Turn Into a Fight

Plans evolve on every build. We adjust and keep moving instead of making it a battle.

  5. The Last Ten Percent Never Finishes

We walk the punch list with you and stay until every item on it is genuinely done.

Stage by Stage

What Building With Us Looks Like

Four stages, and you will know exactly which one your house is in at any point.

  1. Site Walk

We meet at your property, look at the ground, and talk through what you want to build.

  2. Plans & Start Date

Drawings, material choices and a start date all get settled before ground is broken.

  3. Ground to Dry-In

Footings, foundation, framing and roof, so the house is closed up and weather-tight.

  4. Finish & Handover

Trim, floors and fixtures go in, then we walk the whole house with you together.

Building in Southwest Missouri

What a Cedar County Build Has to Account For

Rural Missouri sites come with their own set of realities. Knowing them ahead of time saves money.

Rural Site Access

Getting delivery trucks and lumber onto the land is a first-day question, not an afterthought.

Well & Septic Layout

Where the well and lateral field go shapes where the house can sit. We plan them together.

Drainage & Grade

Our ground sheds water fast in a hard rain. Setting the pad right keeps it out of your basement.

Winter Build Windows

We sequence the foundation and dry-in around the cold so the schedule does not stall in January.

County Permitting

We handle the paperwork and inspections across Cedar County and the surrounding towns.

Shops and Outbuildings

Many of our clients want a shop or barn alongside the house. Planning both at once saves trips.

Questions About Building a Custom Home

We come out to the property and walk it with you. We look at where the house wants to sit, how you would get a driveway in, where water runs after a hard rain, and what the utility situation is. You leave that meeting knowing whether the site works.
