Our Story
Who We Are and How We Got Here
L.O.Z. Construction started the way most good building companies do — one man, a truck full of tools, and a reputation to earn.
David Andra has been building in southwest Missouri for over a decade. What began with framing, remodels and outbuildings turned into full custom homes as more families started asking whether he would take on the whole thing. These days that is the heart of the business, though we still enjoy a good porch or a well-built shop as much as we ever did.
We have deliberately stayed a size where the owner is on the job rather than behind a desk. That is the whole trick. When David is on your site every day, questions get answered the same hour you ask them, problems get caught while they are still small, and nobody has to guess what the crew is supposed to be doing.
Between us our crew carries more than forty years of building experience, and almost all of our work now arrives by word of mouth. Somebody's cousin liked their porch, or a neighbor watched a house go up down the road and wrote the name down. We are glad to keep it that way.

We snap the lines, check the diagonals and crown the joists. Nobody will ever see that work once the drywall is up, but it is the reason your doors still latch in fifteen years.

When we tell you we will start, we start. When something genuinely shifts, you hear it from us first rather than finding out by watching an empty driveway.
We Live Here Too
This is our town. We run into our customers at the store and at church, and a house we built wrong would follow us around for years. That keeps us honest better than any contract.

One of the things customers mention most is how our guys conduct themselves. They work steadily through the day, they are respectful of your property and the people on it, and they are easy to have around while you are living your normal life a few feet away.
Because the same people come back day after day, they learn your job. Nobody has to be brought up to speed each morning, nothing gets built twice, and by the end of a build our crew usually knows the house about as well as you do.
